Sun Cabaret photonbooth
The Sun Cabaret event involved 8 collaborators, including artists, dancers, actors, and musicians, who hosted a Photo(n) Booth Cabaret in the woods, where almost 100 people had their photo taken with a projection of the Sun.
This Theatre in the Bush event was an Ode-to-the-Sun Solstice celebration that documented the revelry of the local wild night-life, North of 60, on the longest day of the year.
The poetry in the book represents the magic of the light, and the force of the constant presence of the sun and it’s everlasting life force, so evident in the north.
The process culminated in a community collage and a book celebrating an intimate moment in time and beyond.

some mornings, no night – a summer romance
sun down almost be
fore dawn and
yukon summer sons
revel in evening be
coming morning
drunks-sleep and
lovers happy resort
to thick curtains
for dawn
comes in at three
one sun circles
dawson's daughter – she
shines twenty four hours
a day
